Weekly System Inspection
1
Walk every zone and look for:
Clogged or broken heads · uneven spray patterns · soggy areas · dry spots not being reached.
2
Log findings — fix within 24–48 hours
3
Beyond your scope to repair? Flag to superintendent immediately
Mark the zone and adjust manually in the meantime.
🌱 Spring
Reduce frequency as temperatures climb. Watch for dry spots as turf wakes up.
☀️ Summer
Increase frequency. Monitor greens daily during heat waves. Hand-water stressed areas.
🍂 Fall
Gradually reduce as temps drop. Prepare for winterization before first hard frost.
❄️ Winterizing
Shut off water source → drain all lines → blow out every zone with compressed air → document date.
A system not properly winterized will have broken heads and lines come spring. Do not skip the compressed air step.
