Trash, damage (seat, roof, tires, windshield), operational check (starts, brakes, steering). Tag any issues immediately — don't put a compromised cart in rotation.

Stage neatly in designated area

Fill sand bottles and ball washers

All keys stay inside until payment
No pre-assigning keys. Key goes out only after Square payment is confirmed.

During the Day

Every returning cart — inspect and clean
Remove trash, wipe seat/dash/wheel, refill sand bottle and ball washer if low.

Return to staging area

Monitor fuel levels
Especially on weekends. Don't let carts run low during peak hours.
💡Busy day and carts are tight? Tell 9-hole customers at check-in: "Carts are in demand today — book 18 to guarantee yours for the full round."

All carts returned and accounted for

Wipe down and remove trash from every cart

Fuel any carts that ran low

Park in shed, orderly

All keys on designated hooks inside clubhouse

Weekly — Every Thursday

Pressure wash all carts
Roof, seats, undercarriage, tires. Inspect for cracks or wear during the wash.

Fill all carts to full

Log in Cart Maintenance Log
Date, your name, fuel added, issues found.
🔧Cart with a mechanical issue? Tag it "Out of Service," notify the manager, and do not put it back in service until cleared. Don't attempt mechanical repairs without authorization.
